Village of Savoonga is a diverse and strange band from a tiny town in the Bavarian Forest in Southern Germany. They have released two LPs on their own labels (Kollaps & Hausmusik), and have appeared on numerous compilations (most notably The Day My Favourite Insect Died on Kollaps). Their first, self-titled, LP is still only available on import vinyl, while the second LP, Philipp Schatz, has been released in America on CD-only by Communion. Members of Village of Savoonga are also involved in such bands as Million Mercies, Rayon, the Notwist, Ogonjok, Potawatomi, and others. The Thought Loop 7" is their first American 7" and features two songs not available on any of their other releases. The B-side features guest vocals from Graeme Jefferies (This Kind of Punishment, Cakekitchen).
